Typically, it’s said there are two sides to every story. But often a middle or third side of the story is revealed, providing another perspective to consider.
Three Sides is a monthly podcast featuring stories from the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). As a church that believes God is calling us into the world – together, Three Sides will present diverse voices from across the ELCA. Listen as we share unique stories from the many expressions of this church.
“I had no idea that the church was at work in so many different places and in so many ways.”

Shanna Crawford serves as director for accounting with the Mission Investment Fund of the ELCA. She appreciates having a position with the financial ministry of the ELCA that affords her the opportunity to serve and to assist ELCA congregations, ministries and their members with their financial needs. Shanna loves sports, music, talking and a good sense of humor.
Phil LaDeur serves as program assistant for hunger education with ELCA World Hunger. He loves meeting new people, learning about their lives and looking at today’s issues from multiple perspectives. Phil’s greatest passion is to create programs where kids and youth are free to be themselves, explore their interests, and have the space and time to listen to God.
Andrew Steele serves as director of ELCA Global Church Sponsorship, a vocational dream come true. His knowledge of airport codes is second to none, as he’s often seen on the road away from his Chicago home. While Andrew’s not working, he’s probably rooting for the Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles or playing a round of golf somewhere.
