As we transition from Lent into celebrating the Risen Christ, we continue hearing suggested readings and discussion questions to guide your reflection. You can discuss these questions in a small group or journal about them solo.

Acts 10:34-43

God raised Jesus on the third day

Psalm 118:1-2, 14-24

This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it

1 Corinthians 15:1-11

Witnesses to the risen Christ

Mark 16:1-8

The resurrection of Jesus is announced, and the response is one of terror and amazement

To some, Mark’s gospel ends abruptly because the women at the tomb were so astonished and afraid that they said nothing. Somehow, their fear became courage. Mark’s gospel leaves it to the reader to wonder how.

We too live with an unresolved mix of fears and possibilities.

Reflect on how the possibility of resurrection draws us into a community that lives out the middle of its story in the hope and witness of Christ’s new life.
