Carl Trost, U.S. Navy Chaplain Commander, served as the lead chaplain for the 2017 Department of Defense Warrior Games in Chicago. The games are an international competition between active duty service members and veterans who have experienced serious illness or injury. The ELCA has over 160 chaplains serving around the world in the U.S. military, Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers and federal correctional facilities.
