Marit A. Trelstad is the university chair of Lutheran Studies and professor of Constructive and Lutheran Theologies at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Wash. She is the editor of Cross Examinations: Readings on the Meaning of the Cross Today (Fortress, 2006) and has contributed chapters to multiple volumes of Lutheran theology.
