In Detroit, Mich., co-pastors at Love Rising Lutheran Church noticed a problem when families were asked to shelter in place. Many people did not have reliable access to internet. Without it, many children and their parents were unable to participate in remote learning coursework or effectively work from home. That’s when the church’s leaders had an idea and decided to take action.
