Heavy rainfall this week in Northeastern Iowa caused extreme flooding that threatened the safety of residents. Lutheran Services in Iowa and the three ELCA Iowa synods have organized a statewide Lutheran Disaster Response team to respond to unmet needs resulting from the flooding. They are also calling on congregations to use social media to communicate during this challenging time, just as they did in August.

For more information or to support this work, check out the Northeastern Iowa Synod’s recent newsletter.
