Every day, Living Lutheran offers a prayer for the day from the ELCA resource “Prayer ventures.” These daily petitions are offered as a guide for your own prayer life as together we pray for the needs of the world and give thanks for the ministries of our church.

Saturday, Aug. 29 “When schools flourish, all flourishes” (Martin Luther, Table Talk). The Lutheran church has a long, rich history of commitment to faith-based and public education. We pray that we support and encourage education for all ages, abilities and backgrounds for the sake of nurturing students to become confident, skilled, wise, creative, compassionate and service-minded citizens and disciples of Christ.
